We are excited to announce AMLI Evanston, our newest addition to our Chicago portfolio that is scheduled to open in March. This is a great opportunity for a dynamic individual with Lease Up and Mid-Rise experience to be part of AMLI’s newest developments as the Building Engineer/Service Manager.

If you have demonstrated leadership skills, top notch technical skills and a commitment to quality service for your residents; AMLI is the place to be. As the Building Engineer/Service Manager, you will be responsible for the supervision of the building’s mechanical systems. You will supervise and coordinate activities of a maintenance team to ensure that all upkeep, inventory and repair of grounds and buildings of the property are completed in an efficient manner. You and your team will diagnose problems and repair in areas such as make-up air units, boilers, chillers, heat and cooling systems, elevators, electrical, pumps/plumbing, pool, carpentry, dry walling, exterior structural, and appliances. You will also schedule and directly supervise all in-house and/or vendor work. Individual should be willing to share on-call with other team members.

Job Requirements

Education, training, experience:
Candidates should have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED). EPA Universal Certification required. 4-6 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 2 years supervisory experience; Lease up and Mid Rise experience preferred.

Experience operating/maintaining the following types of systems preferred: Cooling tower, chiller, make-up air units, boilers, fan coil units, hydronic heat systems, elevators, and fire/jockey/booster/boiler/recirculation pumps
